There’s been a gruesome murder in Neon and the only clue to the perpetrator is the word “Shame” written in the victim’s blood. The authorities are baffled so now It’s up to you to investigate and catch the killer less they strike again!

Hunt across several custom locations to unravel the mystery and find Shame.

Will you stop him? Will you judge him? What choice will you make?

How to start

The quest will trigger as soon as you load the game with this creation installed. Head to the Neon apartments to begin your investigation. Happy hunting.

5 months in the making, Shame is a custom companion who can be unlocked by completing his opening quest. Featuring;

• A host of supporting custom characters
• Over 1100 lines of custom dialogue
• 1 unique custom follower with his own affinity quest.
• Quest aware dialogue for main and faction quests.
• 4 unique locations
• More to be added with the next update: more lines and a custom bar/fence.

FAQ

Did I miss some things?

Story quests have scenes and if you skip past them you can miss out on story information. Top tip: don’t go in guns blazing. Stop and listen if you hear a scene. This is especially true with the end Drake and Shame scene. Try to clear enemies before the confrontation.

Is Shame romanceable? No. When you unravel his story, you’ll understand why.

Can I have shame and another follower at the same time. ? No. Shame is hooked up to the vanilla companion quest mechanics.

Will Shame be my friend? Only if you complete his personal affinity quest. Note: this is progressed by gradual player actions. Don’t worry, it will happen eventually.

I am playing Sam’s questline and now I can’t use the lift in Neon. Shame quest temporarily hijacks the lift until you reach Mars. If this lift is still not loading correctly after this, try waiting on Venus for 8hrs to force game cell reset.

Shame doesn’t talk as much as Derek. This is intentional. Shame doesn’t have idle dialogue, but you can talk to him in certain places to hear his opinions.

Under the cover.

Most people will know my work for its comedic take on the universes of Skyrim, Fallout and now Starfield. However, as a writer, sometimes you need to go where the muse takes you. While there is still some comedy present here, in Shames’s case, I was drawn to create something deeper and more serious after being inspired by Stephen Fry’s masterful rendition of the tragic tale of Heracles. Shame is stoic and broken by nature and like Heracles, you will be given the opportunity to help him find redemption.
