Offensive Powers Redone
A quick rebalance of the four major (no I am not counting you Create Vacuum) offensive powers in Starfield. The goal was to buff the existing powers so they have appropriate impact when you use them, while keeping them feel distinct for their use cases.
I have increased their initial costs to go along with the increased power, but their costs will lower to varying degrees on higher ranks. Some will even be cheaper at high ranks than they were before, all while being significantly stronger. I've tested them and they should feel a lot better now when you get them, even if you don't want to NG+. But, as with everything, they will fall off in higher levels. I've balanced them around the premise that most people would get their powers around level 30 and probably do their first NG+ at level 55.
The powers will see significant jumps in power, some more than others, once you NG+. This is intentional, as a lot of people who do end up going for NG+ are higher level and/or use mods that increase enemy difficulty/hp. Rank 10 of each power should also feel much stronger - after all, you should feel rewarded for going through all the trouble, right?
Life Forced - steal your enemies hp
-increase base cost to 30 from 25 -reduce cost at ranks 5 and 10 to 25 and 20 -decrease duration from 15 seconds to 5 seconds -increase base effect per second from 10 to 40 -increase base effect multiplicative by from x1 to x5 from ranks 1-10, with power jumps frontloaded -add 1% of max life per second, which increases to 5% at rank 10 (this will actually be less than 25% at rank 10 against most enemies, as hp scaling and damage calculation are completely balloonies in Starfield)
Solar Flare - melt some faces (best damage per power for normal enemies; can even stack multiple times on enemies)
-increase base cost to 30 from 25 -reduce cost at ranks 2,4,8 and 10 by 5 each, down to a final 10 -increase duration from 10 seconds to 15 seconds -duration decreases as ranks go up, while damage per tick increases -retune damage so early levels have weaker dps but higher dpc, with more dpc and dps at rank 10
Supernova - the power of a star, literally
-increase base cost to 60 from 45 -reduce cost at ranks 2,4,6,8 by 5 each and another 10 at rank 10, down to 30 total -increase base damage per rank massively, up to 1667 at rank 10
Particle Beam - delete what bothers you
-increase base cost to 60 from 15 -increased base damage by an order of magnitude from 60 to 600 -reduce cost at ranks 5 and 10 by 15 each -massively increased damage, up to 6666 at rank 10 (don't ask about that number, that is literally how the math turned out)
LOAD ORDER and COMPATIBILITY Load this AFTER any other mod that touches either the powers or their hidden perks. If you aren't sure, load it after/last. No guarantee this works with starborn perktree mods, I will have to test that in the coming days myself. Worst case, if you load this last you will simply get my rebalanced powers but they won't be affected by the perks.
