Venera Features List
- A beautifully unique ground station located on Rasalhague I, with ship services, shops, NPCs and quests. And ~ 450 lines of voice acting.
- Complex character-driven scenes with up to four NPCs (and the player) in tight interaction.
- Several (most of which repeatable) quests that are deeply embedded with high-quality voice acting.
- Quests make use of as little as possible hand-holding as necessary.
- (New in 1.2) Expanded Main Hall Area of Venera Station (which is also integrated into the lost-and-found mini repeatable quest.
- New(1.1) Player apartment and new fully voiced trader npc in a new backroom area behind Rara's bar.
- please check further down for a complete changelog
Blackmarket Operations
- A complex, layered and repeatable quest where you are sent to hunt for rare components which you then can craft into a highly illegal black market product. Then you can make contact with the mysterious Buyer to sell it.
Janet’s Firearms
-
A new weapon shop is about to open on Venera. However the station owners can not decide which weapons supplier is the best one. Attend a conference where you can help make a decision. Also if you ever wanted to see a Va’Ruun Ryujin employee get into an argument with a Freestar Ranger over morality, then now you can!
-
Your decisions will influence the inventory and physical appearance of the weapon shop.
Special Orders
- Help Razia the Va’Ruun bar owner to mix specialty drinks and food. This a repeatable quest is for players who want to use advanced food and drink crafting skills.
Lost and Found
- Sometimes visitors on Venera lose their helmets and can’t find them. In this repeatable fetch quest you are asked to find them.
Other activities
- Sell produce at high prices to a local produce trader and discover the quirks of a station built on a planet with a 500 degree celsius surface temperature.
Changelog features added:
-
1.36 Fixed Lennie and Rara having incorrect item removal and credits received when buying more than one item from them.
-
1.35: Buyer will now have a quest marker if within 50 meters pointing directly towards him
-
1.35: Janet's hair is now more blonde (was dirty blonde before which appeared reddish under certain light conditions)
-
1.35: Buyer quest will display a message when the player completes the quest the first time that hints at repeating the quest to get introduced to janet
-
1.35: More accurate LOD which should now show on the local map
-
1.2: Added new section to station interior which is integrated into the lost-and-found mini repeatable quest.
-
1.2: Added buttons to open and close the apartment door, this makes it possible to force the door open for a rare occasion where the door resets to locked state
-
1.2: Added a keycard somewhere on Venera that will be useful for opening something on Venera
-
Added new (fully voiced) trader to Venera station. His name is Lennie and he resides in a **new backroom area behind Rara's bar.
-
Added player apartment above the connecting tunnel between the cave and the main hall. It can be bought for 20000 credits.
-
Please note: There is currently an issue in the Venera location where resting or sleeping does not work unless you do it on your ship landed on the landing pad
-
Changed the Buyer quest to make finding the buyer easier:
-
The Buyer now patrols in a smaller radius around each possible spawn point
-
The Buyer now is limited to a smaller elevation difference when picking a new location to travel to
-
This should make the Buyer less likely to travel to obscure locations in Akila and make him remain in an area for longer

1.07-fixed the bugs reported last night
-
1.06-fixed 8 out of 9 bugs reported from QA testing in 1.05a
-the one bug I did not fix is listed as a non-blocker. -
1.05a-changed ending of the buyer quest to not have a defaultchangelocationscript trigger stage 1000, because that was likely what caused the quest not ending.
-changed the dual stage 1000 to be stage 1000 (win) and stage 1100 (lose)
-removed script that sets stage on the transceiver box item.
-the buyer quest will now end 10 seconds after the conversation ends with a failure or a completion, there is no more need to leave Akila.
I think I was successfully able to fix the bug now. A more detailed description is in the bug report answer on Jira

1.00== Describe this release ==
-
1.03-fixed type in the message for selling produce
-changed the buyer quest so that the possibility of the buyer dressing as a ship tech is removed. Now only the security guard and chunks employee disguises are possible. -
1.0.1-fixed players not receiving coordinates from rodrigo
-deleted the shelf in the back area of the ship services office -
1.04-fixed buyer quest not progressing by changing the quest structure so that the end stage gets fired right after the conversation ends (with a 10 second delay). This way it will not use the defaultchangelocationscript to detect the player leaving the location to fire end stage.
as a second measure to avoid the bug I changed the stage setting to happen at the end of a topic instead of at the end of a phase in the scene.
-fixed bug where player could initiate the trade with the buyer without having the transceiver box in inventory.
-fixed soft lock when player talks to venera ship tech about ship parts.
-Note: All three disguises are are now active again (security, chunks, shiptech).
Nothing else was changed in the mod, so all other quests on Venera should not require QA testing (hopefully). (I physically did not open any other quest form than the buyer quest for this revision, except for the main venera dialogue quest, where I only recompiled in release mode to get rid of the debug messages). I hope this helps narrow down the QA testing required.
