Unleash your inner Mr. Miyagi - Starfield Bonsai adds 25 bonsai plants to the outpost/apartment/ship builder, showcasing flora from around the Starfield universe.

All models and over 250 textures have been reworked to ensure performance is not impacted while retaining as much model detail as possible.

The plants can be built free standing or housed in a glass terrarium display case (to represent housing them in an enclosure of their natural atmosphere) which can be built free standing and wall mounted (under the Decorations menu).

It also adds 3 display stands (7 counting variants - under the Furniture menu) and is unlocked through obtaining ‘The Art of Bonsai’ skill magazine.

Head to Sinclair’s Books in Akila city to pick up your complimentary copy of ‘The Art of Bonsai’, which will add the displays and plants to the build menu, however building the bonsai will also require lvl 1 Botany skill and completion of Outpost Decoration 1 research.

Your new hobby will also increase your powers of focus and precision, with the magazine providing a permanent 3% buff to critical hit damage.

If you have any feedback or issues, please reach out to KaizenMods on the official Bethesda Discord.

Known Issues:

Since the vehicle update, a couple of the furniture display stands have sunken previews in some locations when in the build menu, however this is due to a bug in the base game (you can see the same thing with vanilla items like the Weapon Workbench - Bethesda have a bug logged). If you come across this, you should be able to move the preview further away from you until it displays normally and can be built.

Great mod. The bonsai are well-made, looks great, and add that subtle natural flair to any personal interior compare to the regular-sized pots in the base game. The additional tables are nice for more than a display. They fuction well as general side tables, and if anything you can display other collections with ease. I like how you have to unlock the items before you can use them, but not hard to unlock. Makes it blend with the game naturally. No issues with it either.
