Apollo Tower - Upgradeable player apartment
Community Rating
Overview
Welcome to the Apollo Tower Apartments! Designed as a starter home, this new apartment in the Apollo Tower comes with the bare minimum of furniture and some storage. Just enough to get your new life going in the bustling city of New Atlantis! But there is more, much more! Each room of your apartment will be upgradable with various themes and other options to enhance your new apartment, fill it with furniture, and truly turn it into your home.
To get started, simply head to the Apollo Tower and follow along the small "Home Sweet Home" quest, walking you through your new apartment and its functionality.
Themes
Each room, except the workshop, has two purchasable themes. These themes are a rustic, Akila City inspired and a modern, New Atlantis inspired one. You can purchase both themes and switch between them as you see fit, and mix and match them for the various rooms.
Upgrades
Some rooms offer additional upgrades after purchasing at least one theme. For the bathroom, you can purchase an Enhance! mirror, allowing you to change your appearance. The kitchen offers two upgrades, a tea and coffee brewer. These items allow you to choose what tea/coffee you want and will spawn it (5 minute cooldown after each use) A stereo upgrade can be purchased for the living room, allowing to play a selection of different music genres in your apartment.
Faction Decoration
Completing faction questlines unlocks more decoration for the wall next to the front door. Whilst only one faction decoration at a time can be active, you can choose between the following 4:
- Freestar Collective (Rangers questline)
- United Colonies (Vanguard questline)
- Ryujin Industries (Ryujin questline)
- Crimson Fleet (Siding with the fleet in the SysDef/Fleet questline)
My Journey Bulletin Board
The apartment features a bulletin board called "My Journey", which will display your progress through the faction questlines mentioned above. Completing each of these questlines will fill out the board automatically!
Other Features
- The apartment area is considered a build area, allowing you to place items from the build menu - just like other vanilla player homes
- Once a bathroom theme has been purchased, the shower becomes functional
- Interior doors automatically close after 5 seconds, this can be turned off/on or changed to 10 seconds
- All containers and workbenches are linked to allow using stored resources for crafting
Installation - IMPORTANT
If you're using an existing save game, I highly recommend waiting a few hours on Venus before heading to New Atlantis, otherwise the tower elevator may not be functional!
Compatibility
Heavy changes have been made to both the interior and exterior of the Apollo Tower. Any other creation changing this tower will very likely conflict with this creation.

Fantastic starter home that feels like a part of the world in terms of the layout, aesthetics, and how to obtain it. I love that you do not own it outright. Either have to rent it for a set amount of time- there are 3 options for this- or do the Vanguard questline to get the necessary citizenship to then purchase the house. It really makes it feel like a proper and grounded player home. Plus you'll need to buy upgrades, aka furnishings, to flesh the place out. Has the option to decorate as you like as well. The elevator is very finicky to get working. Seems like it needs a 2 week in-game reset to work properly. Good thing Venus exists.
