Made this for a friend on Xbox who just wanted to explore with themself. All I did was set the quest for the Alternative universe you to always start on game start, so the alt version should be waiting for you at the lodge, NG+ or otherwise from what I've tested.
This doesn't edit any of the Dialog, and they'll act like you've already spoken about recruiting them before even meeting, but they'll follow you as long as you have a ship or outpost available.
