MEGAMOD - All-in-one

HIGHLY REGARDED NEXUSMOD IS NOW ON CREATIONS
This is my labor of love to this amazing game we call Starfield. I seek to "complete" or add depth to the amazing canvas that this game already is. All my changes are integrated, with stability and no known game crashing bugs. If the base game works then this works. The intention is that if you were a new player and used MegaMod, you would not notice, but think this is how Starfield released.
MegaMod refines and makes improvements to: Every Weapon, every Armor piece, every Clothing, every Player Background, all Perks and Skills, Companions and Generic Crew, Food and Drink, and many many other things.
This is the Ultimate Vanilla+ experience.
MegaMod is amazing for a new playthrough (since changes begin even in the intro sequence and character selection). You can also install mid playthrough, though you might miss some improvements. MegaMod can also be used as a base for you to add more content or Creations!
MegaMod is ideal for those that have been unsure what to spend their Creation Credits or want good value for their credits. MegaMod is ideal for those that liked the vanilla Starfield and want that but better and more refined. MegaMod is great for those that want a more solid foundation before further customizing their game with more Creations.
PHILOSOPHY
STABILITY over FEATURES
I only added features that are 100% stable. Mods need to work and not break your game. Game breaking mods are the worst. If something was a cool idea but included game instability it was thrown out. MegaMod contains no scripts, just thousands of edits and new effects directly from the Creation Kit. If the base game works then MegaMod will work. Expect no gamebreaking bugs and max stability.
FREEDOM via PLAYSTYLE
Mods need to work for YOUR playstyle. Do you prefer a hardcore survival experience or mostly want to chill? Before you'd had to find mods that aligned with your playstyle. NOT ANYMORE, MegaMod is designed for explorers, for roleplayers, for combat and everything in between. MegaMod has been tested from level 1 Very Easy to NG+10 + lvl 250+ on Extreme. Every weapon has it's personality, find the ones for your playstyle!! Play at your own pace, your own difficulty, your own challenge, with the weapons of your choice, and the armors of your choice.
DEPTH through PURPOSE
Starfield already had thousands of items, weapons, armors, backgrounds, ship weapons, companions, systems, consumables, etc. Many of these had no purpose in the game. I felt I did not need to create a new everything, but I gave everything a purpose. Expect things to have a purpose, previously useless armors and weapons to be useful, food and drink have their uses, previously useless perks now may be critical. Every part of the game has purpose, which makes exploring and combat even more rewarding.
LIST OF CHANGES
-All 67 weapons have been changed. Weapon changes include but not limited to: Weight, Value, Ammo capacity, Reload time, Damage, Critical multiplier, Bugfixes, Fire rate, Minimum and Maximum Range, Minimum and Maximum Range damage dropoff, Aim down sights time, Cone of Fire, Increase per shot, Decrease per second, Recoil, Shots for runaway, etc.
-Rebalanced progression so that the difference between tiers is still noticeable but not as great. Progression is now more cohesive, and extends farther (not too far) into your levels.
-All 60+ Unique named weapons have been buffed! Vendor uniques have been given 2 modifiers. Quest and exploration uniques are fully legendary weapons now!
-All 197 Spacesuit, Pack, and Helmet was changes and includes but not limited to: Value, Weight, Attach points, Environmental Resistances (Airborne, Corrosive, Radiation and Thermal), Combat Resistances (Physical, Energy, Electromagnetic), New craftable mods, Combat bonuses, New Exploration bonuses, New Roleplaying Bonuses, New Full Armor set Bonuses, and edited a legendary effect. Removed buffs hidden from the player so you know what you see is actually what you get.
-Every Clothing item was changed (though I want to add more flavor changes in the future). Each clothing item now has it's flavor, with different stats and bonuses. Added clothing perk and system similar to Fallout 4: a new perk, buffs, research, and craftable clothing mods for extra buffs. Expect clothing to have a purpose, and wear the clothing you like and modify it how you like.
-Small tweaks have been added to companions to make them more useful in every way. Combat, gifts, less frequent annoying dialogue, that sort of thing. Expect more useful and less annoying companions.
-Backgrounds have been enhanced to make more useful as starting classes. Better starting perks, and even master-tier perks. Backgrounds get a non-combat bonuses (to add flavor but you can still play as you like). It is now more viable to, for example, start as a professor or chef and level up that way. Expect more depth on character creation and different viable starting paths and overall better roleplay.
-Non-combat perks have been rearranged into perk trees, like all other Bethesda games. Lowered tier costs to maintain same level of flexibility while implementing the perk trees. Combat perks have been rearranged, but with no tree prerequisites. Expect perks to make more sense, greater feeling of progression while keeping gameplay freedom.
-Crew Specialists went from being useless level 1s to actual specialists, making them masters of their specific crafts. Expect crew other than just Constellation companions to be useful.
-The Trade Authority is now THE TRADE AUTHORITY. TA Kiosks have max credits available but will give you less money for your junk. Expect being able to sell your loot much more easily without cheating.
-Outland vendor now has more credits, but only buys armors and clothing from you.
-NPCs wear their appropriate spacesuit to their faction. (Groundpounder and Vanguard Questlines)
-Revamped each craftable drink and food to be useful, like powerful potions, by type, so they are easily recognizable in the field. Expect food found in the wild to be useful and crafting foods and drink worthwhile.
-Other refinements: removed odd loading screens, less annoying Trackers alliance lady, quest fixes, longer corpse looting timer, etc. Expect a smoother and more pleasant gameplay experience without really knowing why.
INSTALLATION - UNINSTALLATION
MegaMod can be installed on a new playthrough. Many changes begin early on. MegaMod can be installed mid playthrough. Equipped items may not update to new values, but things in storage and new drops will. MegaMod can be uninstalled at any time (within reason). While it is generally recommended to not uninstall mods mid playthrough, I have uninstalled the mod mid playthrough several times and had no issues whatsoever. Items just revert to vanilla values*.
COMPATIBILITY
-MegaMod is a small master for maximum compatibility.
-MegaMod edits most of the vanilla items, weapons, armors, clothing, perks, backgrounds, and several NPCs. If any other mod touches any of those vanilla items, there will be a conflict, with the mod loaded after taking priority. You can that way make your own customizations with the mods you like via your load order.
-MegaMod combat is highly refined. Editing vanilla Armors or Weapons with another Creation may throw that balance off, which might require you changing the vanilla difficulty sliders.
-MegaMod should be compatible with anything that adds new things to the game. Examples: enemy AI mods, new behavior mods, New Weapon mods, New Clothing Mods, New Companion mods, New Ship part mods, etc. I have not personally tested DarkStar or Watchtower, but I've read users say they are compatible. Please contact your other mod author and ask them if their mod edits the vanilla things I mentioned above.
Though MegaMod is great as a standalone, for the Ultimate Vanilla+ Experience also use S1nderion's "Real Fuel - Immersive Exploration" Creation. I am in no way affiliated with the author but I personally use MegaMod with Real Fuel and the experience feels amazing.
My objective is for you to enjoy the game instead of think "oh nice Creation/Mod". My objective is for you to spend more time playing instead of troubleshooting Creations/Mods issues.
Check out my other mods that follow this same philosophy of Stable Vanilla+.
Thanks to Bethesda for making "the space game" Thanks to you for playing!
