NPC Enhancer Gun - Achievement Friendly
Community Rating
Free non-achievement friendly version: https://creations.bethesda.net/en/starfield/details/60933c88-1ac0-4426-8d1c-5d1822d57198/NPC_Enhancer_Gun
This Creation, once installed, will add the Legendary Enhancer Gun to the player's inventory plus some ammo (heavy fuse). It has 0 value and if lost the Gun can bought at any Trade Authority vendor.
When the Gun is fired at a human race NPC, flagged as a non-hostile act, a menu will appear with a list of options to choose from.
To make this version achievement friendly, some functions of the original Enhancer Gun needed to be removed or changed. This version's functions are as follows:
Change NPC Appearance - This function copies the NPC's appearance to the player and opens the Enhance menu for editing appearance then copies the new appearance back to the NPC. Because technically the player is editing their character's appearance the player needs to save with their character's name and pronouns.
After exiting the chargenmenu, the Gun will be automatically unequipped and equipped. This is necessary to avoid a bug that can occur if the gun is used to quickly after changing an NPC's appearance.
There have been some issues with non-vanilla clothing reported. If you run into problems like crashes or a black screen, remove all clothing from the player and NPC first before using the appearance changer.
Switching an NPC's gender will result in them losing their voice, so not recommended.
For a more immersive (and achievement friendly) way of changing companion appearance, check out Enhance! Companions by TheChanChanMan.
Remove Teammate's Armor and Clothing - Removes hats, helmets, clothing, armor, and backpacks from the NPC. To keep the Creation achievement friendly, this function is restricted to teammates.
Open Teammate's inventory - Again, restricted to teammates. Same as talking to them in dialogue.
Check relationship - This function will tell the player if the NPC is an acquaintance, lover, enemy, etc. The ability to increase or decrease relationship level was removed to keep this creation achievement friendly.
More functions, as long as they achievement friendly, will be added in the future. Feel free to contact me on Discord for suggestions or post on the Reddit thread (link below).
MOD CONFLICTS If using a mod that modifies NPC behavior, like Crime, firing the Gun can be considered a hostile act.
The Change Appearance function can have problems with non-vanilla clothing. If you run into problems, strip the NPC and the Player first.
If you have any concerns, please test with the free version of this mod before buying it!

Introducing the NPC Enhancer Gun! With this very non-immersive in4novation you'll be able to zap (most) NPCs and alter their appearance however you like! Amazing!

Allows the player to command followers and other allies to do things, as was possible in previous Bethesda games. Also allows you to access the inventories of unnamed crew.
