HBI Breakable Window in DR POIs

Before you use this mod, please read the following:

MOD CONTENT:

1. Overhauled 21 Random POIs: More than 600 windows and almost 100 glass partitions have been modified! The corresponding walls and windows have been completely remade. I’ve created over 150 new models and more than 3,000 model nodes in total!
2. A Gameplay Setting (HBI BWDR Disable Pieces Time): You can freely adjust the time for glass shards to disappear: 10s, 30s, 60s, 300s, and a secret option —— forever exist.
3. Variety of Windows: The types of windows are now more diverse: Single-layer Thin Glass: When broken, the shards tend to scatter and fly around. Single-layer Thick Glass: When broken, the shards naturally pile up without flying around. Double-layer Thin Glass: Breaking one layer will cause the other to break as well. Glass Partitions: These are only found in a few POIs, typically thin glass, often seen in shower rooms.
4. Glass window health is 10.

By breaking glass, YOU CAN:

1. Better Assassinations: Tired of being separated from the enemy by just a glass pane, while you have to risk opening a door and exposing yourself to get the kill? Now, you can break the window and quickly take him out!
2. More Advantageous Combat: Enemies won’t proactively break the glass up close, which means you can catch them off guard in close-range combat!
3. Better Sniping: Many guard towers have glass windows. Break it, and you can snipe enemies across the whole POI while staying hard to hit!
4. More Exploration Paths: Breaking glass gives you access to areas that would normally require a detour, opening up new routes for exploring the POI!
5. Skip Locking: Some locked rooms have large glass windows. That's right—you can break the glass and enter the room directly, no need to unlock it.
6. Catch Enemies Off Guard: Some enemies lock themselves in houses with windows—how foolish! Throw a grenade inside, they can’t escape!
7. Make Combat More Intense: The flying glass shards add a new visual impact to your combat!
8. More Precise Physics Collision: Watch out for window bars and glass shards—they really can block your bullets! Similarly, you can shoot through the gaps in the bars, and even through Venetian blinds!
9. More gameplay for you to explore!

After you break the glass, ENEMIES CAN:

1. Enemies typically won’t proactively break glass up close, but they will destroy the glass with gunfire!
2. Enemies will shoot at you through the broken window!
3. Enemies will also try to throw grenades through the window—don’t underestimate them!
4. Enemies usually won’t climb through the window.

Q: What are DR POIs? A: Most random POIs with enemies are DR POIs, named after the "DR" prefix used for these locations in the game.

Q: Which glass is indestructible? A: There’s only one instance—at the Abandoned Farm, there's a large glass chamber that cannot be destroyed. Other than that, all other glass should be destructible.

Q: Will breaking glass cause performance issues? A: I can’t speak for Xbox, but I can provide details on my PC tests. On an RTX 3050 Ti Laptop + i7-11800H + 32GB RAM, there were no noticeable performance issues while breaking glass in most maps. In fact, you can even keep looking at the shards without any major lag. Trust me, my computer isn’t that great, so I believe your PC or console should handle it without any problems.

Q: Why can I pass through some windows but not others? A: The windows vary in size. Some are large enough to drive a vehicle through, while others can only be passed through via bullets or thrown objects.

Q: Will this mod break other POIs? A: Absolutely not. I’ve only made changes to these specific POIs.

Q: Are these all the DR POIs? A: No, but I’ve reviewed all the DR POIs, and only these have destructible windows.

Q: Will you release more breakable window mods in the future? A: Yes, I plan to release a RL POIs mod, similar to DR POIs, which also contains enemies. Together, these two mods will cover most of the random enemy POIs you’ll encounter.

Q: Will breaking windows in a vacuum have any other effects? A: Sorry, this is not a strictly physics-accurate mod, and I haven't considered such scenarios. There will be NO effects like depressurization or enemies being sucked out, etc.
