Trade Wars: Merchant Intelligence Division (MID)
Tired of the grind? The Trade Authority has a new plan.
Gameplay loop enhancement-
Forget the Mining Grind: Replace your mining laser with your magazine. Exchange T.A. Scrap Tokens, taken back directly from enemies, at any Industrial Workbench for bulk quantities of essential minerals.
Access 46 new recipes to turn your salvage into essential resources: Iron, Aluminum, Nickel, Cobalt, Tungsten, and many more, covering all tiers of crafting materials.
Starting Out: Easily resource your early game without micromanaging Outposts cargo links.
End Game: Quickly salvage tokens for those frustrating, hard-to-find rare and exotic minerals that are always elusive.
Lore-
The Freestar Collective can’t protect its shipping lanes, profits are collapsing, and the Board is demanding results.
With no sanctioned options left, Executive Director Aris Thorne, Freestar Collective Sector, has activated the Merchant Intelligence Division (MID)—a covert force operating outside the law, tasked with stabilizing supply chains and restoring margins at any cost.
Introducing: Trade Wars Scrap Tokens
The Loop-Changer: Scattered across the Settled Systems—in abandoned facilities, pirate strongholds, and wrecked convoys—you’ll now discover Trade Authority Scrap Tokens.
Not Junk: These standardized mineral blocks are salvaged from destroyed TA logistics convoys, replacing low-level ore drops with valuable crafting tokens.
Looter-Shooter Economy: Forget endless planetary surveys and extractor micromanagement. Resources now come from raiding, fighting, and looting the galaxy’s most dangerous
Exchange Scrap Tokens at your industrial bench for bulk quantities of essential resources: Iron, Aluminum, Nickel, Cobalt, Tungsten, and many more.
Every combat encounter feeds directly into your crafting and shipbuilding needs, shifting gameplay toward exploration, combat, and salvage.
Where do you fit in? You are the "external contractor." Thorne and the Trade Authority pay better than anyone else, and the cause—killing pirates—seems noble on paper. But as you recover Trade Wars Scrap Tokens from the cold hands of your enemies, you have to ask: Are you a hero of the shipping lanes, or just a corporate cleaner?
What’s Included
A new player base/home on Montara Luna 3 uniquely tuned vanilla weapons (2 lethal, 1 non-lethal) New loot system: TA Scrap Tokens redeemed at industrial benches 40+ unique recipes for converting Scrap Tokens into vital mineral resources
The Trade Wars are just beginning. As Thorne’s grip on the sector tightens, expect future escalations (currently in development).
