Exigent Circumstances: Starborn
By Khylarin

Current Version 1.2F tweaks to Nanoweave and DarkArmor variants to be more compatible with the new systems. Nanoweave can now use the legendary effects for helmets and packs (including 4th slot) and DarkArmor can now use both the full-suit and spacesuit 4th slot legendary effects.
Moving forward, I will not be updating/adding new features to this mod. I structured this mod around going through Unity, a lot. The game has come a long way since launch when it was necessary, and being able to upgrade powers with Quantum Essence was the nail in the coffin. I did my best to upgrade this mod to the new systems, but there are some fundamental changes I cannot overcome without completely rebuilding the mod. Fortunately, I had a little foresight into what was coming, so have been working furiously on the next iteration, Exigent Circumstances: Forsaken which will be achievement/trophy friendly. The new mod will have many new features, including getting Scimitar through a quest, and the player is no longer required to go through Unity more than once (the new unlocks are based on level and spending Forsaken Essence). The grind is still there, just different. Any issues with this mod or questions about EC: Forsaken, you can reach me on Discord @Khylarin. I'm also a part of the wonderful Darkstar Discord under Verified Creators (that's the best way to reach me!).
Should be safe to upgrade mid save to this version, but I HIGHLY recommend updating the mod in Unity, then going through!! Free Lanes specific features: --Forsaken Scythes now drop Quantum Essence when defeated in space (boarding and taking over the ship does not count). --Forsaken enemy Injection updated for new Legendary modifiers. Full Forsaken drop QE+FE, faction variants still only FE. --All Scimitar exclusive gear has been updated to be fully compatible with the new X-Tech systems for quality levels, stat upgrades and the new 4th legendary slot (see pictures!) --Forsaken Essence can now be converted to X-Tech! Conversion becomes MUCH more efficient after unlocking Scimitar Omega. --Astra can be converted to X-Tech --Dynamic Integration with Xeno Master (thanks Ghostrider!!)
Current functional Content Patches (I cannot guarantee if the mod being patched works, just that the functionality my patch provides functions as intended) Exigent Circumstances: Faction Invasion! (additional content patch!) Integration Patch for Shattered Space NG+ Integration Patch for McClarence Outfitters and Exigent Circumstances: Starborn NG+ Integration Patch for Watchtower and Exigent Circumstances: Starborn (PC/Xbox only, for now!) Integration Patch for Useful Brigs (PC/Xbox only, for now!!)
What this mod includes: A Persistence Through Unity System = No Repeat Grinds! Finished with a universe? Hesitant to go through because of the terrible grind of starting over, yet again? Your link with Scimitar negates that. Your bond with Scimitar unlocks over 20 Starborn actor values that actually matter. All of the AI ship piloting, skills, powers, increased Starpower, ship unlocks, weapon and armor unlocks follow you through Unity because Scimitar remembers what you accomplished, and you can even take your credits with you. Everything for Starborn is completely unique, made only at the ship's AI terminal. As long as you brought enough Forsaken Essence with you from the previous universe, you can be full geared in minutes, with all the perks, skills, weapons etc. that you spent FE on in a previous universe still in place.
Runtime Injected, High Level Enemies --At NG+5 you can activate a signal in the Scimitar AI terminal menu that adds Forsaken enemies at runtime (tied to your SAVE!) --The Forsaken are very challenging Starborn variants and once activated, will show up in every enemy faction. Whether it's Ecliptic, Spacers, House Va'ruun, Crimson Fleet or regular Starborn, Forsaken Variants will be everywhere! Not only are these enemies challenging, but they also drop a new resource, Forsaken Essence.
High Level Forsaken Scythe Ship Encounters -By changing game play options, Forsaken Scythe Variants can replace the normal Starborn landing encounters and space combat encounters (with the Invasion! patch, this extends to all factions!). These encounters are tough!! Unlike regular Starborn ships, these Forsaken ships can be boarded and taken over, if you survive long enough...
Completely New Resource and Starborn Themed Economy
--Forsaken Essence is a new resource dropped by Forsaken. FE is used for literally everything in this mod, unlocking cosmetics, increasing powers, crafting new and powerful weapons, armor, clothing, crafting ammo and much, much more.
Alternate Skill Leveling System/Disable standard leveling --Experience gains can be completely disabled (this does not change difficulty modifiers). This can be done for whatever reason and doing so unlocks the ability to purchase skill points with Forsaken Essence. So, if you want to cap your level at say, 150, but continue to gain skill points, you can do that.
Remote Terminal linked to Scimitar
--A remote terminal (can be hot keyed/favorited) that acts as a link to Scimitar (any variant) and allows you to check your Forsaken Essence amount, access the vendor terminal on Scimitar, teleport directly to the interior of your ship, summon Scimitar to your location (30 seconds from use to ship landing in front of you!), Summon your vehicle, Quick access to Xeno Master functions (with patch), access Scimitar's cargo hold, payoff all of your bounties at a discount, completely heal you from all injuries/environmental damage (requires ALL of your Starpower and 1 FE) and even create a Galbank Encryption key that allows you to transfer all of your credits through Unity.
Customized, Starborn Themed Vehicle Mod has built in compatibility with Rover Haul
--Little Scimmy...A fully customized Rev8 variant made of Starborn materials with vastly increased boost, speed, and a high damage, automatic particle turret.
Scimitar
--AI Terminal --Built-in, custom workbenches --Kitchen --Increased shielded cargo --Increased base speed --Increased hull --Scan Jammer --Balanced shield increase (ship is an offensive monster, so I didn't want to go too crazy with defense) --Increased maneuverability --A functional brig that can accommodate 8 "guests" (requires Useful Brigs patch) --Plasma Lance--a short range, capital ship level weapon (24 pips of power!!) that vaporizes both shield and hull with massively increased fire rate, range, recharge rate and damage. --Graviton Torpedo--long range, high damage burst fire missiles that do not immobilize opponents **I have increased weapon lock on range to 6000 units, so Missiles serve a purpose! --Dark Photon Array. Quickly disable opponents with this EM auto weapon.
Exigency Unique Inflictor that can be crafted at a work bench (Exigency I) and has four variants. The first is available at NG+1, second at NG+ 5, third at NG+ 10, and final at NG+15. --Custom burst fire mode (3 shots, tight grouping) --built in silencer (Inflictors are so loud!) --Compatible with any skin packs that enhance base game/vanilla weapons Brand new, custom Legendary Perks --Exigent Fury--consecutive hits increase damage, plus 50% haste --Exigent Boon--3x ammo capacity, reduced fall damage while wielding Exigency --Exigent Shattering--Shatters armor, lightweight build, increase damage while aiming
Exigent DarkArmor Custom Starborn Armor with 4 variants, available at NG+1, NG+5, NG+10 and NG+15. From NG 10 to NG 15, powerful armor linings are unlocked at each NG level. Compatible with any skin packs for vanilla gear. Fully Customized, new legendary perks: --Exigent Synapse--Increased max HP (250, 500, 750 based on which armor), Starpower and Starpower regen rate increased, 20% run speed increase. --Exigent Sentinel--Medpack Automedic, damage reduced by 35% while standing still, damage from humans reduced by 10% and all sources by 10%. Resources and weapons weigh less. --Exigent Justice--Rifles do 10% more damage, headshots do 25% more damage, humans take 10% increased damage, damage increased to scanned targets --Custom Armor Liners: at NG+10-11, new, easily changed custom lining options are unlocked at the spacesuit bench (will become visible at NG10) -Temerity-- 10% increased crit chance and 20% increased crit damage -Shadow Master-- 40% increase to stealth -Bulwark--40% increase to armor -PackMule--+100 to base carry weight --At NG+12-15 special liners (Exigent Blessing series) will become available that combine multiple effects. Each level includes a built-in fast recharge Emergency-Kit heal that stacks with the heal from AutoMedic (requires Emergency Kits in inventory!) AND triggers on a separate timer (they can fire off in rapid succession if not on CD).
Exigent DarkBlade Custom Wakizashi with 4 variants, available at NG+1, NG+5, NG+10, and NG+15. At NG+10 a power energy shield is unlocked that reduces damage and has a high chance to reflect enemy attacks. Compatible with any skin pack for vanilla weapons Fully Customized, new Legendary Perks --Exigent Fury--consecutive hits increase damage, plus 50% haste --Exigent Alacrity--Greatly increased run speed, increased stealth, and greatly reduced fall damage --Muramasa's Touch--Shatters Armor, ultralight, Applies Muramasa's Curse on hit (burns and weakens targets with dark energy) --Exigent Shield (NG+10) blocking creates an energy shield that increases armor and reflects a high percentage of enemy attacks.

1.2E--Updated bonus system for unlocking Scimitar Omega in this mod for EC: Forsaken (when it finally goes live).
-
1.2D-Added an AI terminal thank you message for players who have unlocked Scimitar Omega.
-Hard coded the vanilla weapon quality tiers to EC:Starborn weapons. This *should* prevent other mods from overwriting the vanilla X-Tech systems. If you are not able to upgrade Exigency, DarkBlade, Blade of Light, Forsaken Vengeance, Starfire or Starfire Omega to the highest tier, another mod is preventing it. -
1.2CFixed Scimitar II's missing weapons!

1.1Weapon Changes:
Forsaken Vengeance-- is now available at NG 17, overall damage has been reduced (it was too high for my taste) and removed the DoT component, it retains the EM damage when crouching. Forsaken Vengeance initial craft is still 400 and permanently drops to 100 after the first time you craft it.
Starfire Omega--is now back to NG 20. It now requires Starfire and Forsaken Vengeance to craft. Damage has been slightly increased, and the DoT damage has been increased by 50%.
Initially, I wanted to make it so either weapon was equally appealing, but the way I set it up Forsaken Vengeance was just better. I like having my pinnacle weapon reward as a rifle, and I felt having FV as the NG 20 award diminished the lore and bread crumb quest for Starfire Omega
I reverted back to the linear model, with Exigency IV at NG 15, Jinan's Fury at NG 16 as a heavy weapon reward (Shattered Space Patch), Forsaken Vengeance as the NG 17 reward, and Starfire Omega as the NG 20 reward.
