When you trade 3 Astras with Stache, there is a 33% chance that you receive a unique aspirational weapons. However, many of these weapons only have one or two legendary traits, which is especially disappointing when 3 Astras is supposed to be legendary. Legendary Aspiration Weapons adds additional legendary traits to make sure you'll always strike gold.
