It's a fairly common complaint that there's not enough diversity in Starfield's randomly generated points of interest. This mod, originally inspired by ljorder66's More Starborn, adds seven new, lore-friendly factions to the pool of potential hostiles you can encounter while exploring the Settled Systems. Additionally, it adds new bounty missions, and slightly decreases the frequency of Crimson Fleet and Spacer dungeons.

WARNING Uninstalling or disabling this mod may break your save. This is an inevitable consequence of adding new NPCs to existing PoIs. Use with caution.

NEW FACTIONS

The First are a mercenary company organized and led by the disgraced Major Paxton Hull, former commander of the Freestar Militia's First Cavalry. Like Ecliptic, they have been seeking out and occupying abandoned Colony War-era facilities. The First can be recognized by their Colony War-era Freestar uniforms and their preference for Laredo firearms. The Seokguh Syndicate are an organized crime syndicate originating from Neon. While Neon serves as their headquarters, they have several offworld operations as well. Seokguh members have a preference for flashy business suits. The UC Marines are the ground forces of the United Colonies military. While a rare sight outside UC space, they still maintain many operational military bases. These are secure military installations, so don't expect a warm welcome - unless, of course, you're a member of the UC military yourself. UC Marines have a diverse array of armor and weapons. The Freestar Militia are the Marines' opposite number in the Freestar Collective. Like the Marines, the Militia maintains a number of operational military facilities that are off-limits to civilians, although they'll allow access to a member of the esteemed Freestar Rangers. The Militia use modern Freestar uniforms and Laredo firearms. Ryujin Industries is a megacorporation based out of Neon, with a loose approach to ethics and operations across the Settled Systems. Their facilities are strictly off-limits to all except Ryujin employees. Ryujin facilities are guarded by security guards armed with weapons designed for covert operations, as well as civilian staff. Gangs of Outlaws roam the lawless hinterlands of the Freestar Collective, thriving in the absence of strong centralized authority. Lightly armed and equipped, with no real military training, they are little real threat to experienced explorers, but a constant thorn in the side of Freestar locals. The Trackers Alliance is an organization of bounty hunters who pursue fugitives across the Settled Systems. Often carrying EM weaponry to bring their targets in alive, Trackers are generally friendly to other spacefarers - unless, of course, they have an active bounty.

SUBMODS This mod also features several optional submods, expanding on its additions to the game and integrating it with several popular equipment and PoI mods. Search for "POI Faction Diversity" or consult my user profile to find them.

COMPATIBILITY This mod edits several locations, as well as the leveled NPCs used to distribute enemies to randomly generated dungeons, and is likely to be incompatible with any mod that edits the same.

Because of an unfortunate templating mistake by Bethesda, this mod also edits Walter Stroud. If you have any other mods that edit Walter Stroud, and they do not also address this templating bug, it is recommended that you load them BEFORE PoI Faction Diversity, or else Walter will disappear.

This mod does NOT edit any existing condition forms. It is therefore compatible with mods that alter the conditions for human habitability, such as Desolation.
