Requires DLC: Terran Armada
Community Rating
Extends Terran Robot Frame functionality with spacesuit workbench upgrades, skin options as well as related crafting and loot. Requires Terran Armada. Small master file.
This mod does several things:
-
Allows any Terran Robot Frame to be fully modifiable (like a spacesuit) via workbench. As soon as you are able to trade inventory with Delta, you can also change and upgrade its armor via workbench. You can now add basic spacesuit modules, upgrade modules, Legendary/X-Tech modules like any other regular spacesuit. While it is mechanically a spacesuit, IT IS a robot frame so the player can not equip it.
-
Adds 14x14x2x2 visual combination options to the Terran Robot Armors/Frames. This is the original purpose and core offering of the mod. But due to design constraints, those were first hurdled and then addressed by #1. You can change the casing color (14), accent color (14), casing finish (2), and frame finish (2). Requires Spacesuit Design I. Eye color change still works unimpeded, even while swapping frame variants.
As it is frustrating not to have access Delta's inventory right away, the fastest option would be either using a different mod that handles follower inventory (i.e. LIGA of Followers) or using console "300FBAE.openactorcontainer 1". It would seem full companion functionality is unlocked in the end (after the Battle of the Unifier) by design which can feel like a slog if done repetitively. To address that delay, I have taken the liberty of giving Delta a red and white color scheme with a more metallic sheen (matching Vasco/Constellation colors).

Aside from Delta's own armor, you will be able to access the rest of the Terran Robot Frames for Delta mainly by looting:
- There is a chance of an intact Terran Robot Frame variant being dropped by the enemy robots. (Slim chance however as of course these are usually damaged/destroyed in combat)
- Alternatively (in case you really have bad RNG) you can "rebuild" a Terran Robot Armor by collecting parts salvaged from defeated robots.
- The recipe for this is revealed in the industrial workbench if you have a Terran Robot Black Box in your possession.
- You can then assemble these on the Industrial workbench. Also these also take up considerable carry weight so you'll need to decide which kind of loot to prioritize (and to prevent you from contracting stage-4 packratitis)
-
Alongside lootable parts and frames, you also get a chance to get loot other robot hardware from their wreckage. While these loot are not required in building your own Terran Robot Frame, these can be sold for quite a sum to aid your economic endeavors. Do note some of these are contraband/unregulated/suspicious material as well so due exercise caution when sauntering around in UC/FC space. Especially the last loot because it's essentially winning a lottery ticket, if you manage to find it. (Also: Do not eat it!)
-
NPC Integration. Enemy Terran Robots convey strength visually. The base ones generally look plain, gradually becoming more polished and eventually menacing/cool. The enemies will now follow this progression and have visuals applied according to their designation or level, whichever is lower. Some mild deviations may be observed (i.e. Level 1 MK V may appear lighter whereas a Level 255 MK I may appear darker).
Compatibility: The mod introduces custom mesh/nif files (terranrobot_delta.nif, terranrobot_small.nif, terranrobot_medium.nif, terranrobot_heavy.nif,) that allows painting of all Terran Robot Frames in the game. With that in mind. the mod will not work with Delta Reforged and Delta Wears a Poncho. Both mods also replace some/all of these specific files, causing the colorization to not work as intended. The mod will use a main archive file as a result of these nif replacements and will use 1 archive from your 255 archive budget limit.
