Large decorative outpost storage with maxed out capacity.
I like building large farms for my manufacturing mods, and I got tired of building giant ugly walls to store water. I saw a water tower around back at Hopetown and thought it would be perfect, so I did some alterations and came up with this. I was tempted to make it limitless, but constantly feeding water into it could potentially cause problems. The top of the tank is the actual container, so click on it from above to make a connection out. This makes it difficult to access the contents, but I like having the connections up off the ground.
UPDATING: 2.7:
- I redid the foundations again and added snap node to make it compatible with my outpost mod.
- Storage will be intact, but the foundations will be a bit odd and need a re-build.
- I maxed out storage and cut the recipe cost in half.
2.62:
- There was an error uploading the last update. Re-uploaded and updated my own game through Creations to check. Seems OK now, will monitor.
2.61:
- Just updated the recipe priority. Shouldn't have any noticeable difference aside from the storage increase.
2.5:
- I added custom foundations, changed the base of the silos, added a water tower and silo with a terminal on the ground as the container, and added a warehouse depot.
- All previously built buildings will still be there with contents intact, but a will have to be rebuilt to see the new changes. If your concerned, just do a hard save first and/or delete the old ones before updating.
- I updated all my outposts by building a new one and draining the old one into it, then reconnecting everything. A bit tedious, but it worked well. If you want to leave the old ones it should be fine.
KNOWN BUGS:
- A couple times I've gotten weird red connections going up into the sky, this seems to just be a visual bug and goes away if you leave the planet and come back. I haven't had this bug since fixing the transfer node, but I'll leave the warning just in case.
- NPCs get stuck at the top of the warehouse ramp and stairs. They can walk on the floor and ramp but won't cross over the top. I'm stumped here but I'll keep working on it.
Uninstalling: Be sure to remove anything built from this mod before uninstalling or it will cause ctd in the build menu!
