M42 Allied Laser Rifle

The M42 is the sword of the Hunter of the Orion Constellation, and the M42 Laser Rifle is the sword of UC Forces. Preferred by sharpshooters and laser traditionalists, the single barrel provides better accuracy at the cost of less suppressive fire compared to its double-barreled brother, the Orion. The possibility to choose between a laser beam and laser bolt was also the main reason UC forces began adopting it over the Equinox. Get yours now at your preferred weapons dealer.

Observations

The gun is added to the leveled lists through script and should appear with vendors and in the world. You can also find it at the Centaurian Arsenal wall;
The Outfit can be found with vendors, like the UC Distribution Center. It is a retexture of the UC outfit with a cool new Balaclava;
It is not recommended to remove the mod mid-playthrough as it uses scripts to inject the weapon into the spawn lists;
As the game wasn't designed with a gun like this except for the cutter, it has some small quirks when using it. Enemies will look and be very accurate when using it. You might see a half-second unintentional laser beam directed at you after an ally finishes shooting;
You can choose between a laser beam and a laser bolt in your Muzzle options if you want to avoid these quirks.

More Info My friends, I always felt like the Allied Weapons should have a more traditional single-barreled laser rifle. I was having difficulty coming up with something that could clearly relate to the Allied aesthetics when I realized that the Orion itself could look even better with a few tweaks and additions. So, inspired by the original Orion and the concepts from the great 3d artist Peterku, the Orion M42 was born.

Designed to offer maximum flexibility in your laser choices, you can choose between a laser beam and laser bolt; you can use the weapon as an assault rifle or a sniper, and paint it the way you'd like.

Oh and consider the Outfit a bonus, I was having a lot of fun roleplaying as a UC specialized forest unit and decided to include it too. You should be able to easily find it at the UC Distribution Center and at a few other vendors.
