Malorian Arms 3516 from Cyberpunk 2077 - Free Lanes Update

Wake the $@#% up, Samurai! The iconic Malorian Arms 3516 is updated for Free Lanes and has an all-new secret effect that mirrors its Cyberpunk 2077 counterpart as closely as the Starfield engine will allow.

You can find this weapon on handgun-wielding enemies, or buy it from Neon Tactical. You can also find a legendary variant in a crate somewhere in Neon's Lower Ebbside. If you're into spoilers, see the final screenshot for the exact location.

Blistering Love

• The secret effect from the original Cyberpunk 2077 gun has been recreated for Starfield as faithfully as the engine allows. With at least 10 rounds loaded in the magazine, landing a bash attack triggers a fiery explosion that knocks down nearby enemies and sets them ablaze. But everything has a cost in Night City. Every explosion costs 10 ammo from your reserve.
• Note: In Cyberpunk 2077, this attack empties the magazine. Unfortunately, Starfield's vanilla modding tools don't provide a reliable way to replicate that behavior, so I've implemented a 10-round minimum and reserve ammo cost as a balancing compromise.
• Known Issue: When you have fewer than 10 rounds in your reserve ammo, you will still be able to execute one or two additional bash attacks depending on your magazine. Even when your inventory shows no ammo remaining, you'll still be able to fire whatever rounds are left in your magazine, as indicated on the HUD. One final gift from Johnny. Why? Because $@#% the corpos, that's why!

All credit for this incredible gun mod belongs to the original mod author, DPetrol, and the original patch author, JimmyThLocke (aka Xenosphor). My contribution was to combine them, add the Blistering Love effect, make some small tweaks, export it as a small master, and port it to Creations (with their permission).

Compatibility Notes

• This mod incorporates the original and should not be used with the original installed.
• I recommend installing this mod in a new game or in the Unity before jumping to a new universe.
• This is currently PC-only. Xbox and PS5 are still not behaving as expected.

Replacing an Existing Version

• Installing this mod on a save that already contains another version of the Malorian Arms 3516 has not been tested, including saves where the weapon is stored in the Quantum Entanglement Device (QED). I strongly recommend installing it on a new playthrough or before entering a new universe through the Unity without the gun in your QED.
• If you choose to replace an existing version anyway, do so at your own risk. At minimum, make a separate hard save before changing your load order and remove existing copies of the weapon. Waiting for cells to reset may help with some issues, but no procedure can guarantee a clean replacement of an existing mod mid-playthrough.
