I just finished pushing out a lot of changes for the site to review below:
Things You Love About Starfield
I wanted a page to collect everyone's profile field response for why they love Starfield. More positivity for everyone. Feel free to edit your profile as much as you want, and up-vote those you like the most.
Trivia & Tips
Feel free to submit any trivia and/or tips you can think of on this new page, and you up-vote the best ones you see. I'll be adding many more over time.
User Flair
I added a couple of flair fields on the Starfield Profile, so you can pick your favorite faction and enter your ship name. I'm probably going to change how that shows up on the forum, but feel free to add those.
Updated Homepage Feed and Layout
For now, it will show any recent forum posts or comments in that feed as well to help surface forum activity there. I also moved Resources to a collapsed panel just above the feed - along with links to the other pages mentioned above.
New / Updated Content
- I added two new polls and tested embedding one in another forum post (over on Starfield Hub).
- I changed the Star Wars and Star Trek forums to a general Movies, TV, and Books forum where I'll soon share all my favorite sci-fi movies, TV, and books 😁
- I've been gradually updating the forum imagery as well
The tips and trivia tab is great! I had a collection of smaller tidbits and advice but never enough to justified a whole forum post. Now, I can share what I learned over the years. What a perfect solution. 😄
So glad to hear that! Yes, please submit as many of those as you want.
Originally, I was thinking of it being like the Trivia section on IMDb pages, but the more I thought on it the more some of the trivia I had in mind would be more like tips. So that's why the two became joined together. I also want to elevate it to the header menu somehow - probably in a dropdown for desktop users. EDIT: I also just realized I didn't do a way to Edit your tip/trivia or provide engagement points for submitting them, so I'll build that in very soon.
Let me know if there's any other things like that you can think of wanting to contribute or interact with about Starfield. I'm happy to hear ideas and figure out things people would enjoy and/or find useful.
