Really enjoyed this mod. Lots of great settings to configure how much chaos you want to endure. The creature spawns become a bit too redundant, but Starborn spawns are fun with their powers sailing through the air. I'd recommend either being higher level and/or having a lot of followers. I like to use Dangerzone NPC spawner grenades to summon UC Marines for backup sometimes.

Aevi's Aerospace

Aevi's Aerospace

This mod has a little bit of everything: a player home with a beautiful view, a well-crafted POI, a brief quest, 6 new ships all with custom habs, and custom storage options that link containers between your ship and home and the benches that can use that gear. The author even lended his voice to the main character at the POI. The quest is rather short, but it has some stunning sights. It also felt strange hearing an NPC say "POIs" instead of something more immersive like "nearby outposts." I also had a minor bug where the ship kiosk said "no ships available" when I first arrived at the location. After completing the quest, they showed up. Lastly, it would be nice if the mannequins in your ship were able to show the gear you put on them, but it sounds like the "cloud storage" ability makes that impossible. These are all very minor gripes, however. The author's love of the game clearly shows, and I greatly appreciate their effort and willingness to offer it for free.

Simple and very effective! It works great to throw as much gear as needed at it - even other modded gear. I like it better than Darkstar and McClarence Outfitters.

Immersive Star Colours

Immersive Star Colours

I really love the effort put into helping star systems feel more unique. It helps each one feel more real with different brightness, size, and colors for each star. Even just looking at the systems as a whole on the star map now offers distinctive looks to some. Then when you jump into it, your ship and the planetary bodies can be bathed in a totally new light. It's a pretty cool effect that I really enjoy.

HopeTech Hammer V - Land Vehicle - for Xbox and Lower End PCs

I've really enjoyed this vehicle. It is faster and has more boost than the Rev-8 and the cannon can mow down enemies in short order. Love the look of it - though parts of it can look paper thin or have blurry textures. I imagine that is just the downscaling for Xbox.

RTM's Mark II Spacesuit

I really like the look of these skins. I always liked the Mark II suits and packs, but they're a bit too weak for end game and I prefer darker options. This mod addresses both. Legendary versions available at Trade Authority locations. I'm not a fan of the helmet which, I think, is a reskinned Deepseeker helmet. It doesn't seem to fit with the other two.

The Unity Awaits

The Unity Awaits

This has been very handy for those that want or need to jump through the Unity for NG+. It took a bit of looking to find it. In fact, I thought it was not working. If you get lost, run up to the ship services tech there, turn 90 degrees left and run toward some habs in the distance. One should have a big 09 on the facing of it. The chest is on the roof of one of those.

RYOS (Roll Your Own Start)

RYOS (Roll Your Own Start)

I really liked the concept of this mod. I wanted a way to change my starting scenario as a character, and this provides lots of options to control that - especially if you plan to skip the main storyline with Constellation. You can control whether you have a ship to start with or not - even setting a background where you must earn enough credits to recover your starting ship (often having to buy it back from someone). The circumstances you pick also dictates the location you'll start at in the game. The menu to set things up can be a bit confusing, but this may be more a symptom of the limitations with modding a start in Starfield. The starting location on Montara Luna didn't seem to provide much to do when I first tried the mod months ago. There's a couple of vendors to help equip you if you chose to start with some extra credits.

At Hell's Gate

This is an interesting cross-over (mini) quest - especially for anyone that has enjoyed the Doom franchise. I like its setup and the creatures were surprisingly powerful. However, I was quite disappointed with how weak the suit and weapons were. The blade looks odd from most angles, and the suit is both underpowered and seems poorly rendered. The gun looks awesome, but I don't recall it being especially useful compared to the many vanilla options we already have in the game. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

Easier Companion Affinity

I found this really helpful if you wanted to build affinity with constellation companions in NG+ or any play through where you might opt out of the main quest line.

Didn't care much for Derek. This was one of the earliest mods I purchased, and after a bit I started to regret it. I dismissed him when the constant comments became annoying or a distraction. Soon after, I disabled the mod in my load order. I see that there has been some updates since I tried it, so maybe I'll give it another shot.

Pretty good quest with decent length and a follower you can romance (still a rarity in mods). The main location is nice to explore, but there's not much reason to return once everything is done. The radiant quests are there, but there wasn't much to them. The player home you get has a nice view. I just wish it was closer to your ship.
