Some mods just help in the immersion of the game by changing the way things look or sound or behave. These are ones I'd recommend for that. I aim to stay true to the lore of the game with these

This is a small enhancement but a meaningful one to me. I like space being darker so the stars stand out more. I think Bethesda had too much ambient light in areas, so this helps with that in space.

Ghastly Knight · 10/10

Darker Space (v1.02) This mod creates a deeper, more immersive interstellar environment by significantly reducing indirect lighting in space, resulting in natural, dark shadows on the shaded sides of planets. It also disables dust particles and clouds that appear in front of the camera, providing p...

Simple but effective mod. Just make sure to grab whatever flashlight mod you prefer with this. You'll definitely need it.

Ghastly Knight · 10/10

Darker nights achieved by disabling the fake sun and lowering indirect lighting Now it's a bit more immersive to explore the dark side of the moon

Adds new standalone hairstyles for both male and female to the game. __For those of you that had issues updating__ The files in 2.2 had their names changed to match that of the mod on Nexus. This was causing issues for people that were updating from an older version. In version 2.3 I have changed t...

I really love the effort put into helping star systems feel more unique. It helps each one feel more real with different brightness, size, and colors for each star. Even just looking at the systems as a whole on the star map now offers distinctive looks to some. Then when you jump into it, your ship and the planetary bodies can be bathed in a totally new light. It's a pretty cool effect that I rea...

In vanilla Starfield you can visit 100 star systems, each one with a spectral class ranging from M to B class. M class stars being red dwarfs, the coolest and oldest of stars. B class stars being blue and the youngest and hottest of stars. And the rest ranging in between. But despite a vague approxi...

https://discord.gg/TAmVSAHXCq My Discord if there's anything wrong with it. I don't own an Xbox, but had a lot of requests for this one. NPCs will act more like people and less like one-dimensional characters in a video game where they only exist for your benefit NPCs won't pay attention to...

Over the years I've found myself less-and-less interested in modding Bethesda games. Alternate start mods are one of the very few exceptions to this. On subsequent playthroughs, I find them essential to diving into various roleplaying concepts and characters. RYOS is an excellent example of AltStart done right. Tons of options, including MQ skipping/delaying, and overall a great canvas for c...

After playing the game the first year without mods, I remember being stunned by the impact of this mod. I recently tried a new playthrough with it removed and didn't miss it much. Weird. I'd still recommend it! It's free and it might be very impactful for some.

Ghastly Knight · 8/10

Filters begone! This mod removes the ugly color filters throughout the game, making the game look less washed out and desaturated, and restores natural color to the game. Should be compatible with anything that doesn't touch the game's color filters. Note: You may need to enter a new cell or resta...

This is a great addition to any playthrough if you use any mod that takes helmets off more on breathable worlds. Bethesda clearly thought we'd never see the faces of some groups like Ecliptic, so they all look like the same 4 people. I highly recommend grabbing this small mod to add some much needed diversity there.

Ghastly Knight · 8/10

This mod is a companion mod to my Outfitted series of mods. (Crimson Fleet Outfitted, Ecliptic Outfitted & Spacers Outfitted) But the mod will work without those mods. This mod adds new faces to rectify the issue of repeating faces caused by the outfitted series of mods. In the base game Spacers...

A mod first released on my Discord, this mod modifies the biome map on Earth, giving Earth 5 biomes, dead trees, dried up oceans, and the remains of polar ice caps. Few animals remain in this inhospitable wasteland, but some life clings on as the atmosphere leaks away and radiation bakes the seat of...
