Mining Conglomerate
Community Rating
Mining Conglomerate will only work correctly when installed on a new game or NG+. Any other usage is unsupported due to engine limitations with new space orbits which are required for Mining Conglomerate to function. An existing save may or may not work, but we do not provide support for this so use at your own risk.
Feeling adventurous? Try "The Pup" method while in a save and it "may" allow you to continue playing without a new game or NG+.
- Go to The Pup (a system that seems to have a debug flag set).
- Save and exit.
- Uninstall MC.
- Load game.
- Make a new save and exit.
- Reinstall the latest version of MC (also a guaranteed way to get the latest version).
- Reload save and you should be great moving forward.
Known Incompatible Creations:
- TN's Space Mining and Salvage (patch required)
Known Issues:
- With recent fixes, the interiors of the two stations are now accessible. They are incomplete and have no purpose (yet). If entering either station and looking to get back to your ship, the doorway for the Argos HQ is easily accessible while the Argos Mining Station is hidden behind the asteroid clipping into the interior (you can walk through it and access the door).
Current version: 1.13 (Submitted 2/12/25)
Life in the Starfield can be difficult, but do you know what isn’t? Joining the Argos Extractors family!
Mining Conglomerate focuses on what it'd be like to work for Argos Extractors within the exciting world of space mining! When starting a new game, a new quest is provided by Argos Extractors due to your current employment with them. When being directed to return to The Lodge, you will also have a quest pointing to the Argos Space HQ in Jemison Orbit. This will introduce the new features through the Station Interface at that location and direct the player to start retrieving Argos tasks from the mission board offered at the HQ.
Major features include:
- Space Mining: Unleashing untapped potential for resources and financial gain
- Mission board types including; Mine Asteroids, Gas Mining, Protect Mining Operation, Protect Station. Additional random encounters for all mission types.
- Stations have a bulletin board with various announcements and messages providing flavor text related to the universe with some added messages based on events.
- Players can now receive mail, which is currently only accessible within the station interface.
- Get ready to dive into 20 newly revamped asteroid fields and 8 gas fields, now three times bigger for you to mine and explore to your heart's content!
- Gas mining and new gas mining missions
- New Mining Lasers, Gas Scoop, Radiators which defend the attached ship from gas mining hazards.
- Missions award Argos Extractor Scrip which can be used to purchase a variety of upgraded mining gear made in partnership with Argos (LightScythe and Nautilus)
More features are planned to be added
- Following the basic quests already added, we will be adding a completely voiced quest around Argos as they expand their operations, interact with other mining companies looking to collaborate or sabotage their progress forward, and tunnel through their prized asteroid.
- Orbital Support Station will replace the current Argos Space HQ, being a massive station per each hub orbit like Cheyenne/Jemison/Volii. These will be broken into admin (management of the station), business center (supporting various headquarters of companies ala Neon Trade Tower), customs (supporting to flow of cargo to/from Jemison), passenger center (allows passengers to take shuttles to/from the connected planet, and taxi services to/from other Orbital Support Stations), and trade center (a small mall of vendors).
- Other mining companies and factions are involved with new mission types involving sabotage and data theft.
- Unique station interiors and interiors for asteroids linked to stations acting as dungeons.
- New mining ships built by Deimos

Release notes
Xbox
-
1.13- Resolved issue with station terminal either not loading up or the buttons not working
- Backported a modified version of the StarSim mission system into Mining Conglomerate to help resolve the station terminal issues
- Backported TerminalUI from StarSim to allow more control over terminal menu layout
- Removed redundant scripts and limited the script functionality related to terminals to text replacement only
- Adjusted timers on the core Mining Conglomerate systems to space them out in case there is an overload in Papyrus
- Resolved rare issue where ships being destroyed prior to completing initialization could attempt to call native functions that cannot be called from a dead ship
- Added new system to cleanup jettison containers -
1.12- Resolved various issues with increased load times (finally!)
- Dev notes: **This took a bit to get to as we were building out StarSim as a new foundation to identify where we hit various changes which could lead to increased load times (whether our own code, or hitting something in the engine as we're doing things well outside what it was designed to). With the "new game experience" StarSim build in a very stable state, we were able to backport the changes that fit MC along with some other adjustments to clear up the load time problems.**
- Dev notes #2: **Where engine issues existed, we had to turn certain systems completely off which in essence rolled portions of Mining Conglomerate back to v1.01 functionality. From the player's perspective, you should see absolutely no difference when it comes to visiting the asteroid fields, mining asteroids, harvesting gas fields, doing missions, and building up Argos scrip. This heavily simplified the Argos/UC ships, as well as added new mechanisms to clean everything up and reduce Papyrus usage.** -
1.11- Resolved issue with increased load times
- Resolved issue with gas field effects following player ship when leaving the gas field
- Resolved issue with mission board not properly showing correct missions
- Resolved issue with accepting/declining a mission sending the player back to root menu -
1.10- For this update a New Game is required as we have had to roll to a full master. In the future, we will try to minimize the need for new games but the way space cells work new games/universes are required.
- New mission board interface, ability to select from multiple versions of the same type of mission
- New Gas Mining Missions
- New New Mining Lasers, Gas Scoop, and Radiators which defend the attached ship from gas mining hazards.
- Argos Scrip that is rewarded through completing Argos missions and used in the Argos Rewards Program to purchase licenses to be able to buy mining lasers and gas harvesting scoops that are made in partnership with Argos (LightScythe and Nautilus)
- New UC security ships and UC capital ship that fly around Jemison Economic Sector
- Argos mining ships will now wander around asteroid fields and the Jemison Economic Sector, jump to different Mining Conglomerate locations for tasks, then jump back to the Jemison Economic Sector and dock with Argos HQ to deposit the resources they get from their tasks
- Argos mining station in Deepala now produces various resources over time
- Argos resources are available to the player via the new barter system inside the station terminal
- Dive into 20 newly revamped asteroid fields and 8 gas fields, now three times bigger for you to mine and explore
- New secrets to uncover
- Revamped Mining Missions: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Exotic with random encounters

- Resolves issues with Argos ships attacking each other due to friendly fire
- Resolves issue with Welcome to Management quest not pointing to the correct location in objectives
- Resolves issue with crafting/research on a ship causing the resources used to be jettisoned into space
