Archimedes Island Estate
Community Rating
A new island estate, as well as a small space station, awaits to be called home by you, featuring a lot of interactive objects, interesting locations and plenty of storage. Located on Archimedes III in the Archimedes system, this planet features lush forests and a great mix of fauna and flora. Whilst radiation is strong on the surface during daytime, the old inhabitants of the estate installed devices to deal with this issue - allowing the estate to truly become a home on the fringes of the Settled Systems.
How to get started
Head to The Viewport in New Atlantis to read a slate labeled "Mercenary Listing", which can be found on the bar counter. Once read, a quest named "On The Edge" will start! After finishing all three small quests (On The Edge, Overrun, Orbital Observation) you will have the entire Archimedes Island Estate as well as the Archimedes Station unlocked as player homes. You will need a ship with a minimum of 25LY jump range to reach the Archimedes system.
Installation
Do not be in the Archimedes system when installing this creation. If the slate in New Atlantis does not show up, please wait 24 hours on Venus and return.
Features
- A complete island, featuring various POIs and a fully furnished estate acting as player home
- A small space station, also fully furnished and acting as secondary player home
- All decorations and clutter are static
- Plenty of weapon displays and mannequins in both locations, with mannequins being able to be swapped between female and male
- All workbenches in both locations, linked to all storage containers in each location to allow their content to be used for crafting
- Lots of interactive objects such as a moving parts, light switches, sinks, mirrors and much more - found inside the estate, all over the island and space station
- Various upgrades to your island, such as robots, workers, increased storage and more
- Robots, workers, security and turrets can be enabled and disabled at will once purchased
- The entire island is a buildable area, allowing you to place down your own decorations as well as outpost structures
- The space station as well is inside a buildable area
- My Journey Bulletin Board - This bulletin board called "My Journey" will display your progress through the faction questlines. (Freestar, Vanguard, Ryujin, SysDef) Completing each of these questlines will fill out the board automatically!
Archimedes Station
This small station orbits Archimedes III and is just like the island itself a player home, allowing you to safely store your loot, display your weapons and sit back and relax. The station becomes usable as player home once the "Orbital Observation" quest has been completed.
Landing Platform
Your ship landing pad can be found here, as well as a ship services terminal and Trade Authority kiosk to sell your loot. The platform also features all workbenches and different storage containers. Containers include: Solid Storage, Warehouse Storage, Liquid Storage, Gas Storage and a miscellaneous storage. Each resource container comes with a capacity of 10,000 and can be upgraded to 25,000 each, whilst the miscellaneous storage remains at 5000.
Anti-Radiation Shield Generator
Archimedes III has a harsh, dangerous radiation due to its sun during daytime and clear weather. This device runs on Helium-3 to generate a shield around the island, protecting from the radiation, allowing you to walk around in your clothing! By default, the generator uses up 10 Helium-3 per day, but it can be upgraded to only use 5 per day. Any building interiors on the island are protected from the radiation, no matter the time or weather, but any exterior spaces are exposed to radiation if the shield is offline.
Hydroponics
The Hydroponics allow you to plant 4 different plants native to Archimedes III. They have a growth cycle of around two days and different stages before they can be harvested and re-planted. During their growth cycle, they will start as a small plants and grow in size until ready.
Beach Bar
A bar found on the north beach of the island. The DJ station allows you to start your own beach party, with randomized guests, music and drinks! Enjoy your time!
Wind Farm
This facility does not offer any gameplay, but acts as a building to generate power for the entire island.
Smaller POIs
There are two unmarked locations on the island
- A small campfire on the northwest beach, simply head right at the Shield Generator. It features an interactive bar and music.
- A forgotten bunker in the hills between the Wind Farm and Landing Platform, after completing Overrun you can do the "Forgotten Bunker" quest to unlock robots for your island.
