A TICKET TO THE STARS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING Escape from Gagarin is a mod aiming to introduce semi-realistic combat experience into Starfield. — Health no longer scales infinitely for you, your enemies and wildlife. There’s an end to how much you can endure. — Item quality tiers have been removed or completely reworked. — Base carrying weight is restricted to 60 kg, so plan your loadout wisely. — Skills now reflect your mastery over a weapon or tool, not magical stat boosts. — No sightseeing! First-person crosshairs, hit markers, and enemies on the compass are gone. And more. We need details, do we?
YOU WILL BE A GUN… Your arsenal has been rebuilt. — Aim Down Sights times, reload speeds and recoil now make your weapons feel challenging, as they should be. — Reticles are replaced by laser pointers. — Gun damage is now balanced around weapon caliber: the bigger the bullet the higher the damage. — Ammunition now has its own AMMO modification slot. You can load a drum magazine full of explosive rounds. Enjoy. — Armor Quality tiers are replaced by a craftable Armor Class system (from Class 1 to Class 6) for Helmets and Spacesuits. Higher classes offer better protection but come with higher penalties. — Each ammo type now has a unique Armor Damage stat that displays the percentage of enemy Damage Resist that the bullet ignores. — Mag Weapons by Kore Kinetic are on their way to become fully modular. Choose your preferred caliber, ammo type and firing pattern to fight effectively. — A new craftable Advanced Gear system is in place of the old Legendary one for a more grounded experience.
…AND IT’S YOU THEY COME FOR. Your adversaries have received a makeover. — Native damage resistances are almost entirely removed. Your gear or your quick thinking is what keeps you alive. — Turrets, Model A, and Model S robots are now equipped with Class 2, 4, and 6 armor respectively. — The difficulty of human enemies now scales with their organization. Spacers might be easy, but you'll think twice before attacking UC Marines. — New headshot (up to 3x) and limb damage (0.5x) modifiers are in place.
INSTALLATION New Game is not required but preferable. — On an existing save, unique weapons in already loaded cells will spawn with missing components no matter how I tried patching it, but they will have either a mag or ammo missing so you can craft everything back into place. — The mod will automatically adjust your health points on first load. — All existing Legendary gear traits will be removed upon loading.
COMPATIBILITY As of version 2.0.0, the mod requires specific patches for newly added weapons and armor. I am working on to get everything, or to make at least armor, patchless. — A patch for NASAPUNK is in the works. — A patch for STARVIVAL is available. — A patch for STARUI is available.
