This increases the speed and damage output of the creatures during the day by adjusting the damage modifier from 1x to 2x. The creatures damage output is further increased by 200 during the night making it 4 x damage. It also gives some of them cloaking ability depending the time of night and their getLevel range. For example, the getLevel of 0-5, 10-15, 20-25, etc. plus nighttime will make the creature invisible. This will add to the overall tenseness of the combat situations, eliciting feelings of impending doom for the player. Creature perception is increased during the day but greatly enhanced during the night.
