Tycho - Star System
By SF_Eclipse
Community Rating
Tycho is a handcrafted endgame star system built around visible orbital mechanics, dramatic skies, and exploration-driven world design.
This system was created to make the heavens feel present. Many of Tycho’s moons and planets were placed and tuned to create memorable skybox moments from the ground: tight moon orbits, eccentric captured bodies, ring crossings, retrograde motion, and distant icy companions meant to reward patient observation.
What you’ll find in Tycho:
1 custom star system with a full planet and moon layout A life-bearing focal world, Nerith, with curated biome, flora, and fauna changes Distinct orbital identities across the system, from close scenic moons to unstable captured objects Endgame location scaling for the system Custom ecology work focused on atmosphere rather than total overhaul Recommended starting point: Leto, the inner moon of Nerith, is a great first foothold in the system. It offers strong early base-building resources and a spectacular sky view, making it an ideal place to begin exploring Tycho and setting up a starter outpost.
A few highlights:
Nerith is the main inhabited-style exploration world, with custom forest, swamp, and open-land biome tuning Leto is the recommended starter base moon Nyx is a more dramatic outer moon with a much stranger orbital presence Veyra and its moon B1 were designed to emphasize extreme orbital drama Isolde and Tristan form a distant icy outer pair with a quieter, more intimate sky presence Fauna notes: Tycho includes curated fauna swaps on Nerith, including a gentle giant herd creature, a strange ambient critter, and a much more aggressive predator presence in selected biomes.
Compatibility: This mod edits and adds a custom star system and custom planetary/ecology data for that system. It should be safest when used without other mods that directly alter Tycho or overwrite the same generated records.
If you are just arriving in Tycho for the first time, start on Leto, look up, and let the system introduce itself.
