Description Enemy health values, aggression AI, and height variations all exist on the same Actor forms, which creates mod conflicts. Whichever mod loads last overwrites the others. Rather than living in patch hell, this mod combines all three changes into one.

Features All enemies no longer gain health per level. In vanilla, every enemy had (20 health × their level) + base health. Now they use only their base health, as listed below.

Robots & Turrets

  • Robots: base health reduced from 400–2,000 down to 200–1,000; Damage Resistance halved
  • Turrets: Damage Resistance halved

Humans

  • Base health changed from 70–1,000 to 100–500; Damage Resistance halved
  • Intended strength hierarchy is preserved (e.g., a level 62 UC Marine Colonel has 500 health, while a level 62 Crimson Fleet member does not, only the level 98 Pirate Legend reaches 500)
  • All human enemies now have size variety, increased aggression, and will not flee combat regardless of your level

Starborn

  • Base health reduced from 590–1,430 down to 500–1,000
  • Damage Resistance unchanged, keeping them more dangerous than humans
  • Now have size variety (male Starborn can be taller than female)
  • All Starborn are more aggressive

Aliens

  • Aceles: health reduced from 1,950–13,500 down to 1,500–7,000; Damage Resistance halved; now have size variety
  • Terrormorphs: health reduced from 1,950–13,000 down to 1,500–7,000; Damage Resistance halved; now have size variety and move 30% faster
  • Terrormorph Elders: health reduced from 2,700–18,520 down to 2,000–10,000; Damage Resistance unchanged (making them harder than regular Terrormorphs); now have size variety and can be significantly larger; move 15% faster

Recommended Addons

Compatibility

  • Safe to load last after other enemy AI mods, as this mod only touches Actor Forms and a single Gameplay Setting
  • Not compatible with mods that alter robot sizes (Robots do not have size variation because a Manufacturer producing robots of random sizes makes no sense).
  • Not compatible with mods that change the Aceles or Terrormorphs. Load this mod after mods that change alien sizes.
  • Not compatible with my older mod NPC Health Overhaul. Grounded Enemies is the successor of NPC Health Overhaul, created entirely in the CK as a small master file.
