Gallion - Immersive Finance

GalBank is all over the Settled Systems, you just can't use it. Gallion changes that. GalBank is now a full financial institution you can bank with: take out loans, park credits in an interest savings account, build an investment portfolio with businesses across the Settled Systems, and leverage financed positions. All through in-world terminals, all tied together by a reputation ladder you climb by being a reliable customer.
And if you stop being reliable? GalBank sends the Ecliptic to collect.
FEATURES ▸ Loans — Borrow from 25,000 up to 1,000,000 credits across six tiers. Pick your amount and your repayment term independently; the bank amortizes the loan and auto-collects a payment each cycle. The terminal shows your balance, cycles remaining, and the exact payment due so you can plan ahead.
▸ Savings — A risk-free place to park credits that earns interest every cycle. Both your rate and your earning cap rise with your standing, from 0.40%/cycle at Basic up to 0.75%/cycle at Premier. Overdraft protection: if a loan payment comes due and you're short, your savings cover the shortfall before it records a missed payment.
▸ Investing — Put credits to work in businesses across four regions: New Atlantis, Akila City, Neon, and Orbital. Five tiers from 25,000 up to 1,000,000 credits, each running a fixed term and paying a return every cycle. Every business carries a risk profile (Stable, Balanced, Turbulent, or Venture) that shapes how good the returns get and how much can go wrong, from near-guaranteed income to real receivership risk. Add to any active position whenever you like, with no cap, so you can increase your investment when the market swings your way. There are currently 33 businesses to invest in.
▸ Financing — Once you reach Premier standing, GalBank offers Financed positions where they front the principal on your investments. Bigger exposure, no credits down, and a margin call if the debt outruns the collateral. High risk, high reward, for players who've proven they can handle it.
MARKET MOVERS Your investment returns aren't a fixed number. Two independent Market Boards push the market around throughout your playthrough:
▸ Regional markets — a market board roll that sends a region into a boom or a bust that swings the payouts of every business there.
▸ Sector markets — a separate board moves whole industries: General Stores, Clothing & Spacesuits, Weapons, Resources & Tech, Food & Beverages, Hospitality, and Shipyards. A sector swing hits every business of that type, wherever it trades.
Because the two boards are independent, they stack. A weapons dealer in Neon can catch the Neon regional boom and a Weapons sector boom in the same cycle — or get hammered by both at once. Reading the Market and investing wisely can substantially increase returns.
On top of the Market Boards, completing a faction's questline permanently boosts that faction's home region. Completing the UC questline lifts New Atlantis, Freestar Rangers lift Akila City, and Ryujin lifts Neon. Siding with SysDef in the Crimson Fleet questline boosts Orbital business returns, while siding with the Crimson Fleet slightly lowers them.
And a few traits nudge your returns: ▸ UC Native — +10% to New Atlantis business returns ▸ Freestar Native — +10% to Akila City business returns ▸ Neon Street-Rat — +10% to Neon business returns ▸ Hero-Worshipped — +5% across every region ▸ Wanted — -5% across every region
World Events There is currently one world event that shakes the market: the Terrormorph attack on New Atlantis during the UC questline. When the crisis breaks out, the New Atlantis market crashes for a few cycles.
More world events are planned for future updates.
Regional Market Alerts, Sector Market Alerts, and World Events are all viewable in game through the GalBank Terminal.
GALBANK STANDING One reputation ladder runs through everything: Basic → Preferred → Priority → Premier. You raise it by carrying a loan and paying it back over time. (Taking a loan and instantly repaying it doesn't count; the bank wants to see you handle credit.) Higher standing unlocks bigger loans, better savings, riskier and more rewarding investments, and finally financing. Default on a loan and your standing falls.
DEFAULT CONSEQUENCES Miss enough loan payments and GalBank sends the Ecliptic to collect your debt. The Ecliptic Hunters will find you across the galaxy in escalating waves, regrouping and coming back harder after each one you put down. Clear your debt and the hunt calls off. Stay in default and it doesn't. Cities are a safe haven; the open world is not.
ADDITIONAL INFO ▸ Immersive mode — an in-terminal toggle silences most background GalBank notifications if you'd rather bank without the pings. Terminal confirmations, loan payments, and credits deposited to your person always show; everything else goes quiet. ▸ New Game Plus aware — step through the Unity and your GalBank life resets cleanly with the universe. ▸ Terminal-driven — everything happens at in-world GalBank terminals. There is a new Terminal at each GalBank in the three major cities (New Atlantis, Akila City, Neon). You can also build a GalBank Terminal at your outpost or a GalBank Mobile device in your ship or home, both found in the Miscellaneous category.
COMPATIBILITY Gallion is generally compatible with everything, as it doesn't touch any vanilla forms. Uninstalling is best done on a save with no active loans or investments.
Please bank responsibly.
