GRiNDTerra Gameplay Overhaul

Objectives of this Mod and reasons you may not want to download!

GRiNDTerra Gameplay Overhaul is not a "new" experience! The objective of this mod is to help clean up load orders, unify small script/quest-based mods, and just an all-around easier experience for everyone involved!

All mods included will still be maintained, just won't be receiving new content as they are all complete experiences. They will not receive any of the new updates or content that is added into GRiNDTerra Gameplay Overhaul.

Going forward any new additions, ideas, and content that may be related will be going into this mod right here. This mod will require any and all DLC! I will not be making a DLC-Free version, nor will I be making an Achievement Friendly or VC version. This is my personal AiO that I use to contain mods and ideas I won't be making into smaller packages.

GRiNDTerra Hardcore Combat

Locational Damage

Humans- 4x Headshot damage, 1.5x damage against torso. Robots- NO BONUSES Creatures- 2x Headshot damage, 1.5x damage against torso. (Terrormorphs are unique at 1.25x Headshot 0.75x Torso)

NPC AI Overhaul

Changed how NPCs level are determined vs Player level.

  • Easy-0.9x (Was 0.4x)
  • Medium-1x (Was 0.7x)
  • Hard-1.1x (Was 1x)
  • Very Hard-1.25x (No Change)

NPCs will prioritize using and moving through cover, suppression, and teamwork.

The difference between untrained recruits and veteran soldiers has been improved from decision making to combat abilities to feel more unique.

NPCs will better evaluate the verticality of the combat situation.

NPCs value their lives more. NPCs can and will fall back using cover and suppressive fire. (Blind fire too!)

NPCs can flank, follow, search, and flee farther distances. NPCs will use more teammates in combat situations.

NPCs will react to the world better around them. Explosions, dead bodies, and gunfire will now alert enemy NPCs at a farther distance than before.

NPCs have better reaction times and less idle or down time while in combat.

NPCs will use grenades more, but there is a slightly longer cooldown to reduce grenade spam.

Creature NPCs will take advantage of better strategies. Flyers prefer to stay flying, and melee creatures will use different types of strategies!

NPCs will handle themselves better in Melee in all types of situations. Both offensively and defensively!

NPCs have better memories and will not give up as fast.

Makes changes to the default sandboxing behavior to help NPCs seem livelier.

Increases the default radius and height that NPCs will search and engage in sandboxing activities.

Changes to the NPCs "Sandbox Energy" removing all negative multipliers. This helps them be more active.

Combat Changes and Tweaks

Turrets now have to reload.

Explosion radius' have been increased and can cause more damage! Explosive mines delay has been reduced.

NPC health bonus as well as the players endurance health bonus per level has been cut in half.

NPCs will be harder to sneak up on, but this mod does not "break" stealth gameplay. Just some tweaks to make it harder and more rewarding.

125 NPCs can be active in combat at the same time.

NPC Combat dialogue has a longer cooldown.

Immersive Simplified Crafting

All resources gathered and looted around the Starfield will auto convert into one of the following categories when crafting or researching.

  • (GEO) Geological Samples - Any inorganic solid liquid or gas resource found on every planet surface.
  • (BIO) Biological Samples - Any organic resource found on Fauna and Flora on planets with Life.
  • (MFG01) Manufactured Scraps - Tier 1 Manufactured Items.
  • (MFG02) Manufactured Parts - Tier 2 Manufactured Items.
  • (MFG03) Manufactured Components - Tier 3 Manufactured Items.
  • Unique Resources - Organic and Inorganic unique resources that are found throughout the Starfield.

All recipes are correctly reflected in the Database.

New Industrial Workbench Recipes to convert any resource into any needed part.

Cleaned out the old workbench recipes that are no longer relevant.

Cheater Resources

Special Items that can be crafted at the industrial workbench for mod compatibility.

These cheater resources count as 1 of all of the original resources. Can be immersively crafted or crafted for 1 credit.

These will ONLY work on mod added recipes as ALL base game recipes have been converted.

(For example if a mod has a crafting requirement of 2 aluminum, you can craft 2 cheater inorganics for either 2 GEO or for 2 credits. You can decide how immersive you want your mod added recipes to be!)

Place near the top and forget about it!

  • This has been made with maximum compatibility in mind!

a HUGE thanks to Downfall Nemesis and also Quarter Onion Games for their knowledge and assistance!
