Strap It Down

DESCRIPTION This is from my miscellaneous small mods collection over on Nexus Mods.
When activated this will lock moveable items in place within a chosen distance of your current position. It will appear in your inventory under misc items, and can be used to lock or unlock the physics of items and resources (things you can pick up and add to your inventory) and also moveable statics (moveable things you cannot add to your inventory) independently. This will mostly be of use if you're using a zero G mod on your ship, or want to prevent any vanilla moveable statics from getting knocked out of position. You can make it at an industrial workbench, and you can choose your search radius in gameplay options.
Typical usage on a ship would be to set the radius to just over half your ship's largest dimension, then activate it while standing somewhere central. Items you place yourself will stay locked, vanilla items as part of habs will remain locked until your next structural ship change or until a cell reset.
CAVEATS AND NOTES Objects on display in containers where the object itself is visible, like ammo on weapon racks, backpacks on backpack stands, etc. will still be affected, and will fall off their racks if their physics are unlocked. It doesn't affect items on mannequins.
For this reason, you should use the unlock all options with caution. For items and resources, adding an item to your inventory and dropping it again will unlock its physics, it will usually be preferable to unlock items individually like that rather than everything at once.
TECHNICAL The items and resources options look for objects within the chosen radius of the player which have any of the keywords: DisplayObjectTypeMiscSmall, DisplayObjectTypeMiscMedium, ObjectTypeJunk or InventoryCategoryAidFood. This therefore gives some potential compatibility with mod-added misc/aid/armor items as long as they have one of those. Items and resources also uses a couple of formlists for things not covered by those keywords; one for resources, and one for some miscellaneous items. The moveable statics options just use a custom formlist for any relevant objects as there were no useful keywords for those, plus it's less likely that mods would include any custom moveable statics that you'd see inside a ship anyway.
