Intro

"You used to be a Dragonborn. Now you are a Starborn. What's next?" "I will be an 'Air'borne" - electionis

V-47 Annihilator is a vehicle that you can use to glide high over all beautiful terrains and atmosphere in Starfield. You can annihilate the enemies from high and afar with the fast missile launcher.

Requirement

The new vehicle Deimog (both the Rev-8 (sfbgs004.esm) and Deimog (sfbgs019.esm) update to Starfield)

Specifics

▶ Custom made doors animate to open and close ▶ Accelerated atmospheric flight capable ▶ infinite and continuous boosts, whether horizontal or vertical ▶ The vertical cap removed for this vehicle only upon activation ▶ Missile launcher deals more damage. Much faster and accurate firing and infinite ammo, hence the name, "Annihilator" ▶ Fully colorable

Warning (Achtung!) : This mod may decrease your FPS dramatically. Download at your own risk.

While in game

Talk to any ship technician, select "Access Vehicle" and make it active.

User manual

▶Activation: Activate the vehicle to hop in.

▶Navigation: To move forward, use forward boost and and to rise up, use vertical boost. I intentionally increased the vertical boost greatly in order to minimize the chance to accidentally fall onto the ground, so even gently pushing the "jump" key will make you stay airborne. So, the basic operation is push the jump key and hold down sprint key immediately after to move forward fast in the air. To continue the flight, use the vertical boost whenever necessary to maintain the altitude while moving forward (keep holding down the sprint key to go faster)

I recommend you avoid any ground traversal. Since it has colossal wings for the best performance in flying, the consequences of piloting through the trees and rocks will be disastrous. Find a flat open ground, first, park, and explore or combat. And load a local map and fast travel to the Annihilator.

▶Limitation You can go as high as you want using vertical boost, but definitely will bump into a limit or a glitch water surface (Vasco describes it as deep water) where you cannot move any more. In that case, go higher and you will be automatically sent back to the ground zero. Or a load a previous save. So, it's a good practice that as soon as you see a "new gray horizon (stratosphere?)" appear, you'd better stop and descend.

The vehicle maintains the initial slant of the ground and maintains the angle, which can be quite bothersome in flight. Just land, find a flat surface and fly again.

▶Companions You can have 1 passenger and Vasco with you. If you use a multiple companion mod, you can have them both on board. Due to the imperfect collision of the vehicle, companions can get trapped or act weirdly. In a worst case, Vasco can be thrown 400 m away, but when you get in the vehicle he will come back again.

▶ Recommendation Avoid saving the game while on board. Always get off the vehicle and save, because only that way you will have your vertical cap removed by activating the vehicle. You must see the message "I believe I can fly" appear to be able to ascend with no vertical limit. If you accidentally saved the game while aboard the vehicle, simply exit the vehicle re-enter it to see the message, "I believe I can fly" again and fly away with no limit.

Disclaimer

This mod is extremely audacious and experimental in nature. I think Starfield engine is not designed to have this kind of feature in game, because it is too taxing for the system - loading too many assets in too short a period of time will break or halt the gameplay. FPS will be horrible. Your GPU or CPU can fry and become unusable. Download and use this mod at your own risk. My computer has not been broken yet running very smoothly even after innumerable experiments using this mod, but it may be just me. ;)
