What is it? This is a lore-friendly, RP-friendly combat vessel with worldbuilding loosely tied into the Shattered Space and Terran Armada DLC stories.

Combat Capability: Good

Worldbuilding Story: Recently, the United Colonies Cabinet called an emergency meeting with us at Evie's Ship Shop.

The Cabinet has been well aware of a major cataclysmic event within House Va'ruun space. Additionally, there have been more and more reports of aggressive attacks against the Settled Systems by a highly organized militarized fleet calling themselves, "The Terran Armada." These two major events combined threaten the already shaky peace of the Settled Systems, and the Cabinet is worried that an all out multiple-front Settled Systems-wide war may break out, and they already know that the Navy's aging leftover fleet from the Colony War, Serpent's Crusade, and Crimson Fleet campaigns are in dire need of an update.

Rather than an overhaul or a retrofit, The UC Navy offered us at Evie's Ship Shop, a ship design contract for three new military vessels. The only two stipulations they sought in the contract were:

Must contain MOSTLY Deimos Staryards, INC branded modules
All new vessels must come equipped with a genuine Evie's Ship Shop Electromagnetic Muon Mass Accelerator [EMMMA] weapon system.

Enter the Requital-Class Corvette, our first entry in our UC Naval contract series.

The Requital is nimble B-Class ship of the line, bristling with firepower for specialized combat; It has 3 Cannon turrets for point defense, 3 Mauler shot-cannons for close engagements, and 1 massive spinally mounted EMMMA gun.

The Electromagnetic Muon Mass Accelerator is a patented Evie's Ship Shop weapons system, who's first debut was on our Stroud-Eklund Decatur Class Frigate. We've had several years to perfect EMMMA's design, and are proud to unveil EMMMA as part of the new Requital Class Corvette! In fact, she literally IS a part of the Requital, as EMMMA is spinally mounted: Meaning she is a part of the ship's superstructure rather than a standard hardpoint mount.

If you've been following Evie's Ship Shop for a while now, you may recognize the come back of the bottom-mounted Ares bridge! First seen on our faithful recreation of the Navigator Corps Corbita Freighter vessel. That's no accident. When we set out to design the Requital, our engineers looked at the Corbita frame and realized that, with the appropriate modifications, would be an excellent frame on which to mount an EMMMA gun on!

Exterior design-wise, we wanted to stay true to the typical UC/Deimos Staryard faire of having bladed or sword motifs, but we also wanted to kind of also do our own thing also. The result is something familiar but yet it stands out all on it's own.

So whether you're UC Vanguard, Navy Serviceperson, official UC Navy Auxiliary, or even a private citizen; EMMMA and the Requital-Class Corvette are both ready and eager to aid you, to deliver some bittersweet retribution to the Terran Armada and threats beyond.
