The New Crew

Add six crew members to your Starfield universe, each with a unique personality, story, and skill set. Gain access to a doctor to keep you healthy and a trader to handle even your most questionable items. Assign them to any outpost or ship without taking up a crew slot.

The New Crew features over 1,300 voiced lines, bringing depth to your gameplay. Crew members interact with each other as they talk, argue, share stories, and bond naturally while they work and relax. If Lyria - A Starfield Companion is installed, she joins in, adding even more exchanges.

You can assign the crew to specific areas of your ship or outpost and set them to different schedules.

Completing their short personal quests unlocks additional skills and improves their gifts. These quests become available after they've given you their first gift, which happens after they've been on the crew for a few days.

Each crew member can also function as a regular companion, following you around on your adventures.

The New Crew brings your outposts and ships to life with dynamic interactions, making them places where people truly live.

How to Get Started Find the crew at the Civilian Settlement on Bindi, a moon of Akila, where they're in a tough spot and need your help.

You can give the crew members specific instructions:

Ask where another crew member is, and the person you're looking for will appear behind you. Ask them to follow closely and assign them to a specific area and schedule. Only works on ships and outposts. Tell them to stay close to an area, and they will remain within 8m (26ft). Instruct them to stay in an area, and they will remain within 30m (100ft). Adjust small talk settings to interact normally, less frequently, or not at all.

Note: The dialogue option to trade with Finn is only available when you talk to him on your ship or outpost.
