DESCRIPTION:
This is a cosmetic overhaul of Paradiso and the Tropical Forest Biome of Porrima II. Paradiso is now a truly scenic holiday and honeymoon destination.
The vanilla Paradiso Resort and its surrounding area are pretty underwhelming for a tourist destination. This mod is a texture edit of Paradiso and the Tropical Forest Biome of Porrima II to turn them into a truly scenic holiday and honeymoon destination that I would love to visit in real life. This cosmetic overhaul was achieved through texture swaps and does not affect gameplay mechanics (such as keywords, flora, fauna, resources, etc) or quests. The mod is essentially a "skin pack" for terrain. The resort is still bad, but there are other mods that fix it.
The full version requires the Shattered Space DLC (for the Aurora). If you don't have the DLC, a lite version without Aurora is available under the "Optional Files" section.
Various changes:
- The yellow sand on the beach has been replaced with pure white silica sand. (The highly reactive and probably radioactive Caesium is still present.)
- The landscape has been sprinkled with bioluminescent organisms and fluorescent minerals.
- The (tiny) waves along the coast stir up the bioluminescent plankton.
- Aurora has been added to the night sky (full version only).
- Some low fog has been added to the weather, which will trigger 50% of the time; it should help hide the small size of the ocean pond and also looks nice around sunrise and sunset from the rooftop bar.
- Replaced the dead grass ground cover with red-coloured grass and moss to match the red palm trees.
INSTALLATION: Download the file via a mod manager. Ensure that you have chosen the correct file.
This mod can be installed mid-game, but stay away from Porrima II when activating the mod; otherwise, the weather transition won't occur. If you accidentally activate the mod while on Porrima II, fast-travelling away and back should fix the issue.
COMPATIBILITY AND LOAD ORDER: This mod modifies the following records and will conflict with other mods that edit the same thing:
- Biome: ForestTropicalLifeParadiso
- Weather: WeatherUniqueParadiso_Clear_HazyLight WeatherUniqueParadiso_PartlyCloudy_C3_Clear
This mod does NOT edit the worldspace and cells of Paradiso.
Load order:
- This mod should be loaded after weather mods and mods that edit biomes.
- Mods that edit the cells of Paradiso shouldn't conflict with this mod, and can be loaded before or after.
