Character Spotlight #56-Jasper Kryx (#3 Crimson Fleet Series)
In this Character Spotlight, learn about Jasper Kryx and William Holmes, the voice actor behind Jasper Kryx (also Jed Joseph and Spacer voices).

Meet Jasper Kryx
Jasper Kryx was the infamous founder and first leader of the Crimson Fleet, a pirate organization that grew into one of the most feared factions in the Settled Systems. Before becoming a legendary outlaw, Kryx lived a life of hardship and crime, eventually rising through the ranks of the criminal group known as the Crimson Scar.
After being sentenced to life imprisonment in The Lock, the United Colonies' notorious maximum-security prison on Suvorov, he orchestrated a daring prison revolt and escape. Following his breakout, Kryx and his followers seized control of The Key, transforming the station into the headquarters of the newly formed Crimson Fleet and establishing a refuge for pirates, smugglers, and criminals from across the galaxy.
Known for his charisma, intelligence, and ambition, Kryx inspired fierce loyalty among his followers. He often portrayed himself as a champion of freedom, claiming that the Crimson Fleet offered an alternative to the corruption and oppression he believed existed within the major governments of the Settled Systems. To his supporters, he was a visionary leader who gave society's outcasts a place to belong. To his enemies, he was a dangerous criminal responsible for countless acts of piracy, theft, and violence. Regardless of perspective, his influence shaped the culture and identity of the Crimson Fleet for generations.
Kryx's story ultimately ended in tragedy. While pursuing the legendary GalBank treasure aboard the derelict vessel known as the Legacy, he discovered a fortune beyond imagination hidden within the ship. However, the powerful electromagnetic storms surrounding the Legacy trapped him aboard, preventing his escape. Isolated and abandoned, Kryx eventually died alone despite being surrounded by unimaginable wealth. His disappearance became one of the greatest mysteries in the Settled Systems, and the legend of Kryx's Legacy endured long after his death.
Even decades later, Jasper Kryx remains one of the most iconic and influential figures in the history of the Crimson Fleet, remembered as both a pirate king and a cautionary tale about the cost of greed and ambition.
